AWS established a specialized group of service teams responsible for the work we are doing with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need world class people to help us implement and operate them.
The AWS Intelligence team is seeking highly motivated System Engineers that enjoy diving deep to root cause technical issues, automating manual tasks, and constantly striving for greater service efficiency to improve customer experience.
We are seeking passionate engineers with strong systems engineering skills who pro-actively automate away problems, constantly look to improve the quality of service, are focused on operational excellence, enjoy troubleshooting complex issues, and are customer obsessed.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Arlington, VA: This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. · BS Computer Science or other technical degree and/or related experience
· 2+ years deploying and operating large scale software services on Linux
· 1+ years in a 24/7 production environment
· Understanding of networking fundamentals
· MS Computer Science or other technical degree and/or related experience
· Ability to dive deep and understand all layers of a web services technology stack
· Linux or Windows system management and debugging experience
· Network capture and troubleshooting experience
· Experience with other AWS services
