Job Description

The BC Governance team will have an oversight and remediation responsibility. This team will establish and execute best practices to ensure accuracy and compliance of BC activities, current and updated procedures, policies and standards, routine performance reporting, and communication, awareness and training. This team will drive resolution through a newly established and comprehensive issue management program. The candidate will require a mix of experience including Business Continuity and/or risk management, issue remediation/problem resolution, analytics, and communications (both written and verbal). The candidate must possess the following skills: detail orientation, analytical abilities, independence and initiative, open mindedness and creative thinker, risk and compliance mindset, ability to interpret regulatory requirements, and strong communications skills. Verbally, the candidate must be articulate and professional, able to negotiate and gain buy in, must be comfortable interacting across all groups and management levels. Written documentation, whether formal (PPM) or informative (PPT, Word, Email) must be clear, concise and effective. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in business continuity or IT risk management or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. In-depth knowledge in business continuity concepts and practices and the ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function. Ability to plan and manage projects. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Banking or financial services experience.
