BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Material Handler with CDL in Baltimore, Maryland

Job Description Summary

Job Description

  • Responsible for providing support to Production and Distribution buildings by safely transporting raw materials and finished products to the BD buildings on the Sparks / Cockeysville campus.

  • Ensure compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and practices and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Must have a valid CDL class A license with hazmat endorsement, or achieve a valid commercial Class A DOT license with hazmat and airbrake endoresments within four months of hire date.

  • Will be responsible for maintaining all DOT 49 CFR 391 requirments.

  • Must be able to achieve stand-up electric forklift and electric pallet jack certification within four months of hire date.

  • This person reports to a campus Facility Manager who oversees all the drivers and the BD equipment (tractors & trailers).

  • Must be available to work any shift based on business needs, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Planned and unplanned overtime may be required based on manufacturing schedules.

Qualifications:

-CDL CLass A Hazmat required.

-Clean Driving Record

-High school diploma or equivalent.

-10 years driving experience

-Back up driver who will assist with warehouse duties when needed. May be asked to work the 1st or 2nd shift.
