Cisco Consulting Engineer (Migration/Enterprise) in Bangalore, India

What you’ll do Come join the Automated Migrations & Implementation Team in the CX Center (CXC) focusing on SP technologies as a Consulting Engineer, Services. We need a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to raised issues. With a top-tier mix of broad and deep networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer Relationship Management skills, you're well positioned to become a trusted advisor capable of building proven, long-term relationships with customers. If you have third party (non-cisco) knowledge then it is a definite plus. Role & Responsibilities * Responsible for delivering Cisco Professional Services which includes Advisory, Implementation and Migration services. * Builds positive relationships with customers & partners. * § Should have in-depth knowledge of baseline area of specialization which may include complex IP MPLS networks for Fixed Broadband Operator (FTTH/DSL) and Mobile Operator Networks for green field as well as Migration of existing production network to new network * Delivers migration plans, with a detailed understanding of customer expectations as per SOW and related dependencies. * Builds customer deliverable documentation including Design documents, Migration Plan and Test Plans * Interacts with Cisco's customers working within an extended multi-functional team including project coordinator and account team members (Products and Services Sales; Systems and Consulting Systems Engineers). * Demonstrates thought leadership in solving customer’s technology challenges and helps achieve their business outcomes. * Works, with both internal and external teams, to come up with ways to optimize processes, and to improve efficiency using automation wherever possible * Helps in the process of gaining, developing, sharing, and effectively using organizational knowledge and lead knowledge management in the area of Collaboration Services. * Participates to drive continuous improvement as a key practice and has an open mind towards play-test and innovation. Who you are * Experience on Enterprise product lines like 2900, Cat 3600, 3800, 4500, 6500ASR1K, 7200, ISR 4400. * Experience on Nexus Products N7K, N5K, N9K,N3K, Cat9k, SD-WAN product lines knowledge * Prior Experience with SDA-DNAC or SD-WAN Viptela will be added advantage. * Excellent technical capabilities and a well-established background in the network Implementation arena are required for this role. * Candidate should have a genuine interest in and tried capability to design/integrate/migrate/implement a medium to large size LAN/WAN * Experience on technologies and protocols like AAA, RADIUS, STP, VTP, HSRP, VRRP, vPC, VDC, dot1q, VLAN, QinQ, IGMP, ARP, access, trunk, VTP, VLAN DB, LACP, PAGP. DHCP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP etc * Experience with designing L2 and L3 vlan's along with network segmentation on above Cisco platforms * Experience in VLANs, WAN, OSPF, QoS, Multicast * Experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting and/or Network Solution designing of Cisco Routers and switches. Typical Deliverables includes but not limited to- customer audits, config translations & features; Automated/Scripted discovery audit & data validation of connected/end devices; Optional Lab testing / validation services for service/feature interop. * Good technical skills in Switching concepts, Campus switching, Switch stacking, routing technologies including NAT, route-filtering and redistribution, software/HW upgrades/downgrades etc. * Good troubleshooting skills and understanding of implementation & deployment methodologies (HLD, LLD, Migration strategy, Change management process, MOP etc) * Flexible working hours (weekend change windows) * A good communications skill is a must. Must have a demonstrated ability to relate to customer representatives at various levels. * Must have good technical writing skills in Microsoft Word & Excel and have experience in writing high test and implementation / Migration plans. * Must be proficient in using Microsoft Visio for creation of Network Design/topologies * Coding or Scripting skills would be an added advantage * Skills and experience in working independently, resolving methods and procedures.
