Position Summary The Patient & Visitor Greeter has a critical role in preventing the spread of viruses and ensuring the health and safety of the patients, visitors and staff of Martin’s Point Health Care. The Greeter welcomes and assists patients, their families and visitors in a caring and courteous manner. The Greeter will don required personal protective equipment and follow the established protocol related to patient and visitor management.Job Description

Key Outcomes:

  • Following Martin’s Point protocol, the Patient Greeter located at the Health Care Center will:

  • Utilize thermometer to take the temperature of each person entering the building

  • Utilize provided questionnaire to determine if individuals entering the building have been exposed to COVID-19 or are presenting with any COVID-19 symptoms

  • Request visitor and patient compliance to hand sanitization and face mask requirements

  • Refer to patient schedule on computer and manage patient traffic accordingly

  • Following Martin’s Point protocol, the Patient Greeter located at the Testing Tent will:

  • Greet patients arriving in their vehicles

  • Check patient schedule on i-pad and manage patient flow accordingly

  • Utilize walkie-talkie to inform testing tent that the patient has arrived

  • Direct individuals who are not scheduled for testing tent appropriately

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Customer service or healthcare experience preferred
