To remove product from the production line, inspect it to customer’s specifications and pack into designated cartons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Review production order and determine that correct packing materials are available at the line. Removes finished product from winders and places it on scales to verify weight. Places items in designated cartons or pallets as per production order specifications. Place identification labels on product or skids. Band cartons to skid for shipment. Keeps record of all items packed and attaches to the production order with the last item packed.


Reads work instructions. Notify material handler if any additional materials are needed for the line. Reports discrepancies of product specifications to Foreman. Verbally communicate with co-workers on problems and activities.


Adheres to safety policies and procedures in compliance with Berry’s guidelines. Visually inspects work environment for hazards, equipment safeguards, employees’ safety, and adherence to policies. Maintain compliance with OSHA, company, and housekeeping rules.



High school diploma or equivalent or previous manufacturing experience preferred.


Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to request clarification when needed.


Ability to do functional math; i.e. adding, subtracting, multiplying and division. Accurately read a tape measure.
