About this role
You’ll be working in BT’s Data & AI Solutions business. Part of BT Digital, the team has big growth ambitions centred on building innovative, customer-centric propositions that are underpinned by data and AI. This is an exciting and diverse business unit, full of talented people with an entrepreneurial attitude. We’re doing something new within BT, with the significant digital, data and brand strengths of BT to draw on.
You will play a key role in both the development of new AI propositions in the Enterprise segment, and drive the client engagement process to acquire the first, early-adopter clients. In short, you will play a pivotal role in DAIS’ objective to create new, material revenue growth from data and AI solutions
You'll have the following responsibilities
As the DAIS commercial client lead for the customer discovery phase in the product development lifecycle, you will utilise your experience to uncover customer pain points in their key business processes, and quantify the value to the client and BT in solving them.
As products progress through the development process, you will be responsible for selling the solution to the first revenue-generating, early adopter clients, working closely with the Account Managers and Sector leads in the Enterprise and Global CFUs. You will employ value-based sales techniques, developing C-level business cases for the adoption of the solutions which maximise the value to BT. You will create a future vision ‘north star’ for our clients, supported by compelling business cases, incorporating storytelling and value-based sales techniques that persuade C-level client to make significant investments in our AI solutions.
Your focus will be on Enterprise clients (Enterprise CFU and Global CFU), and you will need to be comfortable working across multiple industries. Therefore, your experience in using proven process and value engineering methods and techniques is more important than depth in a specific industry.
Your success will be measured by winning the first few clients for a solution and creating a pipeline of new opportunities.
You'll have the following skills & experience
5 years business development/consultative selling in Enterprises Software, with demonstrable evidence of exceeding stretching sales quotas
5 years experience in selling process improvement/automation software solutions
3 years of experience in key sectors: Health, Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics, Public Sector
3 years of experience in taking new value propositions to market, and winning early adopter clients
