JOB TITLE: Consultant Business Data Analysis

LOCATION: 8711 University East Drive, Charlotte, NC 28213

DUTIES:

Position will be part of a fast-paced and Agile Scrum team to unlock data capabilities for The Hartford’s Commercial business; participate in the entire software development life cycle process in support of continuous Data delivery; bring a deeper understanding of data analytics, emerging technologies, and analysis practice; collaborate with high-performing, forward-focused teams; maintain product owners and business stakeholder engagement; utilize communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organization abilities; work in a fast paced environment and drive business outcomes in agile ways of working; enable and influence the timely and successful delivery of business data capabilities and/or technology objectives; use an entrepreneurial mindset, network, and influence outcomes; utilize business process mapping, data analysis, data texting, data wrangling, and data transformation mappings to build data assets that enable business value generation; be a part of a Scrum Team and drive work independently or collaboratively towards achieving business outcomes; manage the end to end analysis, delivery, and execution of software development; certify the analysis deliveries for development working with the Scrum Team enabling optimal data quality output in conformance within agreed to standards; serve as a liaison and consultant between various business functions such as Operations, Underwriting, Product, Change, Management, Actuarial and others, impacting organization and leadership; drive awareness of new approaches and industry trends with respect to business data analysis end-to-end process management; develop and lead working and informational sessions that promote collaboration, synergy, and achieve desired outcomes for assigned business initiatives; and perform planning, monitoring, and end-to-end Business/IT stakeholder management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field plus Six (6) years of post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a related field. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge and experience with the following: Demonstrable experience with soliciting and documenting business requirements and data analysis for data warehouse or reporting/analytics projects; Demonstrable experience in Agile development methodologies; Demonstrable experience with strong analysis, industry standard querying tools (Oracle, SQL, or Toad) and planning capabilities; Demonstrable experience with full software development lifecycle from conception to successful implementation; Demonstrable experience with insurance domain.
