Ohio State University Ops, Building & Proc Coord in Columbus, Ohio

Summary of Duties:

Under direct supervision by the Business Manager, this position as the Operations, Building and Procurement Coordinator, owns, manages and performs facility management, including, not limited to: building envelope, daily operational needs; assists with planning, implementation and monitoring of capital plan budget and projects; Safety Officer including equipment testing, building tests (fire, lights, etc.), drills (fire, tornado), and collaborates, maintains and communicates to staff the Business Continuity Plan and Business Emergency Action Plan; Building Access Coordinator of all building keys and Lenel system; manages surplus process; assists with CIC Phone System maintenance; owns and performs procurement, inventory management and purchasing operations and processes applying lean principles for an ambulatory care facility that generates $17M in revenue annually with 20 providers and a variety of ancillary services; subject matter expert, implementing and communicating University policies related to procurement, inventory management, purchasing, travel, etc.; owns equipment inventory and management, includes inspection, repair and replacement; liaison to Student Life Procurement Shared Service Center, Purchasing Receiving Stores & Mail and vendors; manages fundamental operations (i.e. FOD repair and service requests, event preparation, building access management, etc.); creates reports, analyzes and summarizes procurement, inventory management and purchasing related matters; identifies opportunities of improvement related to procurement, inventory management and purchasing operations and processes to allow the department to perform at best practice standards, producing efficient and effective results, as well as, cost containment and/or reduction and standardization; assists with fiscal reporting, analysis and processes, as assigned; participates in outreach events within the University; involved with marketing material development; manages Information Desk and Procurement students; supports Associate Director, Business Manager and Senior Management related to daily operations as requested; participates in special projects as requested.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; two years of experience in healthcare ambulatory care practice, building maintenance, project management and/or procurement and inventory management; extensive customer service; strong Microsoft Office skills; strong prioritization, organization and problem-solving skills. Requires successful completion of a background check.

Desired Qualifications:

Working knowledge of university policies and procedures; familiarity with Joint Commission Infection Control and Environment of Care standards; marketing and outreach experience; 1-2 years of supervisory experience.

Target Salary: $24.00 - $27.00 Hourly
