Textron Engineering Technician in Coventry, Rhode Island
* JOB SUMMARY:*
The Lab Technician is responsible for laboratory operations and cross section preparation and evaluation. The Lab Technician works within an AS9100 continuous improvement quality culture.
* JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Test New Products
Conduct Quality audits and inspections
Execute trial plans
Assist in creating new products on various composites, textile, coating, foam, and additive manufacturing technologies.
Test raw materials
Document processing conditions, test results, and other data
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area
Assist with the ordering and upkeep of lab supplies to ensure all safety regulations, policies, and procedures are complying.
Operate all lab equipment on a daily basis
Develop and document new test plans
* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective team player, with good critical thinking skills
Familiar with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
Associates Degree or Technical certificatChemistry from an accredited institution
* PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*
Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field from an accredited institution
Working knowledge of materials testing equipment
