What You’ll Do Define and drive the change that is happening in Cisco's networking and IT systems. Be the first Solutions Architect to build networking solutions with the latest, groundbreaking designs and products. Realize the value of being the first customer of our own products. Provide technical and thought leadership to a group of driven and innovative individuals with diverse experience and talent. The Data Center Networking Technical Lead will be instrumental in building and deploying networking and security solutions that are consumable as a service. You will coordinate with multi-functional teams spanning numerous business units such as Sales, Engineering, CX, and Partner organizations, to ensure our solutions are optimal and scalable in a cloud-native world. You will create software solutions using existing Cisco products, as well as build your own IP as part of an integration services team to generate solutions in the SASE, next-generation DMZ, and unified network/security spaces. Who You’ll Work With Collaborate with Colo vendors, engage customers, mentor junior engineers, and guide team members through defining the most efficient methods and procedures to be followed by the business. You are someone who: * Analyzes problems, identifies root causes and delivers ground breaking solutions that result in high levels of customer satisfaction * Executes specialist-level analytical and troubleshooting skills with Routing/Switching across Cisco platforms. * Is knowledgeable about virtualization, storage, and hyper-convergence products Some of the qualifications for this position include: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Extensive knowledge and experience with Cloud, Data Center Network, Security, Compute and virtualization technologies. * Design, document and deployment expertise with sophisticated DMZ architectures, Cisco Viptela SDWAN, service monitoring, and cloud-based observability tools * Awareness of data center industry, product and protocol trends, and a deep understanding switching technologies such as VxLAN, ACI, NXOS, Nexus 9k, etc * 5 or more years of customer support experience, including interacting with customers or partners in a client facing role, proven crisis leadership skills, and the ability to deescalate and resolve critical customer issues. * Expertise in ACI and SDN related technologies, data center products (such as Nexus and UCS), MPLS and Segment routing, Public & Private Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), L4-L7- load balancing, firewalls, and OpenStack are highly valued * Experience working with Linux on multiple distributions (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc), networking (bonding, bridging, iptables, vlans, OVS, etc), and virtualization models (KVM, Libvirt, etc) is strongly preferred. * Solutioning with operating systems like VMware, Linux, Microsoft, and protocol analyzers such as wireshark, tcpdump, finisar or more * A R&S or Data Center CCIE certification, a Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) certification, and expertise in lifecycle automation using tools like Ansible, Python, Cisco NSO are valued We Are Cisco At Cisco, each person brings their unique talents to work as a team and make a difference.
