Senior Investigator (Digital Forensic Examiner)

Locations: Decatur/Alpharetta, GA or Dallas, TX as well as other locations considered based on the needs of the business.

Overall Purpose : Primary responsibility involves conducting in-depth, independent, hands-on digital forensic examinations in support of corporate investigations and incident response.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Area of responsibility includes conducting digital forensic and/or network examinations throughout the investigative process; planning, identification, collection, analysis, presentation and archiving of evidence. Develop appropriate liaison/support across all operating companies including providing employee awareness training and security-related concepts to a broad internal & external audience. Collaborate seamlessly amongst geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced diverse environment. Serve as the primary corporate resource for investigating violations of the Code of Business Conduct and corporate policies. Maintain appropriate liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement and other related domestic and international government agencies.

Development and implementation of security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance and enhancement of security programs and strategies to protect corporate assets. Identify, develop, and achieve security goals to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability.

Job Contribution: Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in effective ways. Ability to articulate and visually represent complex data analysis to non-technical audiences. Protects company assets and revenue from criminal acts and violations of company policy in line with Asset Protection practices. Identify and develop security goals to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability. Identifies and implements technical solutions in support of departmental objectives. Facilitate incident response and investigation of computer and data breaches requiring knowledge of computer forensics and information security practices. Interpret all relevant data elements and applies appropriate laws, orders, rules, and regulations pertaining to the investigative process. Provides testimony at criminal, civil, unemployment, workman's compensation, and arbitration hearings. The level of knowledge about programs, concepts, product, or customer identity may require incumbents to undergo extensive background investigations to be assigned or hold positions in highly classified programs.

Experience: Typically requires 5-7 years’ experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years investigative experience in private sector or law enforcement specifically conducting hands-on computer/digital forensic examinations at an intermediate skill level.

  • Hands-on proficiency with the use of Encase, Magnet, Forensic Tool Kit, Cellebrite or similar industry products for analyzing artifacts of evidence sources. Basic forensic lab management / maintenance skills preferred.

  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, hardware, and network configurations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook/SharePoint/OneDrive).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Digital Forensics or in an area of study relevant to the described position.

  • Preferred, but not required, to be fluent in Spanish or Portuguese

  • Working knowledge of AT&T's business operations and multiple business unit experience

  • CCCE, CCE, CSMIE, GCFE, CFCE, EnCE or similar industry forensic certification(s).
