Cartamundi Quality Technician - 2nd Shift in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts

What You'll Do as a Quality Technician:

  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections of products and processes

  • Perform inspections of incoming raw material and in process material throughout the facility

  • Record manual and electronic data for all inspections

  • Audit finished goods warehouse

  • Track and analyze defects and corrective actions

  • Implement sampling plans and determine the correct samples required from product

  • Determine product quality using measuring instruments, fixtures, and gauges

  • Process audit data to ensure follow-up and corrective actions are completed

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities

  • Work in other departments as quality support as needed

We're Looking for Someone Who Has:

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in a Quality role in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a high-volume environment

  • Hands on experience in the calibration and testing of quality tools and equipment used in a manufacturing/testing environment

  • A working knowledge of computers and data entry for recording inspection data

  • A familiarity with quality tools and equipment used for recording and measuring manufactured product

  • An understanding of first article samples and their use in determining product integrity

  • A working knowledge of using quality work instructions in the daily work

  • Experience participating in internal and external quality audits

  • Experience processing audit data and implementing related corrective action

  • Experience in submitting product samples for toxicity & certification testing

  • An understanding of the regulatory requirements around manufactured products
