Aerotek Formulation Lab Tech in EAST TROY, Wisconsin
The technician will work on projects, water borne coatings, chemical testing, physical property testing (viscosity testing, pH testing) and understanding formulations.
The technician will regularly apply a coating/spray a panel of wood, compare to a standard, let it cure, then put household chemicals on it, and look at how they affect the coating. Will then determine if raw materials have improved.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in the sciences: Chemistry, Biology, etc.
Experience with pH meters, viscometers.
Rheology and physical chemistry is a plus.
Strong communication is critical.
Ability to multi-task.
Accurate documentation/attention to detail is also very important.
