You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall product strategy and define SMART goals, including strategies to meet short and long-term clinical goals and work with business partners to ensure aligned implementation and transparency

  • Identify, articulate, and prioritize initiatives to be delivered to support product success, which involves direct collaboration with other enterprise clinical and non-clinical functions. These may involve a wide array of expertise such as clinical operations, provider engagement, population health management, marketing, IT, and finance

  • Build analytics dashboards and provide periodic reporting to enterprise leadership on comprehensive product performance, highlight opportunities and risks, and recommend areas of focus, including the implementation of product performance metrics for ongoing management and improvement

  • Proven relationship leader responsible for working closely with key partners, market leaders, health plan CMO’s, CEO’s, Network, Optum clinical utilization management functions and UHC clinical services functions. Must be able to cultivate strong partnership across all lines of business (Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial)

  • Full product lifecycle management, including strategy, design, development, management and end of life of new, existing or acquisition products

  • Leverage market insights to understand market / customer needs to identify new opportunities or make adjustments to current product offerings

  • Accountable for delivering product performance against expectations and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position, and optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs. Accountable to and/or own the P&L. Partner with internal or external stakeholders (key customers, product partnerships, etc.) to define and drive future product direction

  • Provide leadership to and is accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff

  • Maintains detailed, prioritized roadmap and backlog ensuring product delivery

  • Maintains schedule and communicates through appropriate channels, deliverables, interdependencies, and deadlines to key cross-organization stakeholders driving timely delivery

  • Establishes ownership and accountability for deliverables for outside team members

  • Demonstrated ability to become subject matter expert related to the product and strives to gain deeper understanding of the complexities of product capabilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years progressively increasing experience in project management, program management and product management

  • 8+ years of product management experience that includes product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with clinical and engineering teams to ensure that business and clinical goals are met

  • 8+ years of coordinating short, medium, and long-term strategy planning for the organization

  • 8+ years of experience in successfully reducing operational costs and increasing efficiency

  • 8+ years of proven product development background with experience leading cross-functional technology teams

  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability to engage with C - level stakeholders and external clients

  • 5+ years of experience working in a large, matrix environment

  • 4+ years of management consulting at a top-tier firm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Business, Health Administration or Public Health (or equivalent experience)

  • Healthcare experience

  • Broad clinical and claims data analytics experience

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $110,200 to $211,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
