Aerotek Research Associate in Emeryville, California

Description:

The Research Associate will support a materials characterization lab by performing high quality testing in a variety of measurement areas. She/he should be familiar with polymer properties, thermal, optical, and mechanical characterization. Responsibilities will include sample preparation, instrument calibration and maintenance, and report generation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Polymer Chemistry/Engineering, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field OR >3 years of experience with aforementioned techniques in an industrial setting • Hands-on experience in with TA Discovery series and Instron® equipment preferred. • Experienced with sample preparation of plastic films and other solid samples. • Familiarity with SEC/GPC and/or rheology a plus.
