What you’ll achieve
As a Customer Security Risk Management Consultant, you will help the team maintain an effective and clear business-oriented picture of all risk at Dell which impacts, or is impacted by, security. Your focus is the requirements for technologies, people and processes that ensure the availability, reliability, integrity, confidentiality, privacy, safety and resilience to build and maintain customer trust. You will support strategic and tactical activities of the organization, as well as support the day-to-day operations. You will work with third-party vendor sponsors and risk owners to help assess third-party vendor risk, understand vendor security and compliance posture, and drive risk treatment activities. You will also participate in security-related risk assessments and will contribute to strategic initiatives to advance Dell’s security risk capabilities.
Lead the Customer risk domain for Dell’s Security and Resiliency Organization
Conduct and manage risk assessments, partnering to identify risk remediation recommendations, and manage risk treatment to completion within the relevant business area
Chair the Customer Security Steering Committee and lead multi-disciplinary team of security practitioners in the assessment and treatment of identified security risks
Provide expertise and consulting on risk to help manage risk to an acceptable level
Document, maintain and improve processes across the enterprise to mitigate and reduce security risk to support customer retention and expansion
Coordinate third-party vendor risk assessments, evaluating controls as driven by business context
Produce third-party risk assessment reports and metrics to drive decisions for Dell sponsors
Participate in enterprise risk committees as customer security risk liaison to other risk teams
Verify and validate the effectiveness of risk responses from Dell as well as third-party vendors
Produce quarterly views of security risk to inform executives’ risk position visibility
Conduct deep dive ad hoc risk assessments as necessary on topics as determined by risk assessments, or in response to management requests
Review and collect feedback on the Risk Management Framework and methodology
Provide awareness by developing and conducting training on the Risk Management Framework

3+ years’ experience with third-party risk assessments
Hands-on experience performing security risk assessments utilizing established industry frameworks (NIST, ISO, COBIT, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of security and IT terminology, concepts, and practices
Skilled in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing reasonable conclusions
Expertise with planning, project management and process improvement
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity or a related field of study with 10+ years of related experience; or equivalent relevant experience
Experience working with diverse, global teams using virtual communication tools such as Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
