Description

The Senior Accountant handles a wide range of tasks, including financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Exceptional analytical skills are required to excel in this role. A full-time role, this position include excellent compensation and benefits. You will also have the possibility of growth.
Major responsibilities
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
ERP system experience
Command of Microsoft Excel
QuickBooks experience
Medical Device experience highly desired
Strong familiarity with month end closings
Manufacturing Industry experience
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
Strong time management skills preferred
2+ years of overall general accounting experience
