Aerotek Controls Engineer in Georgetown Township, Michigan
This opening is for a Controls Engineer position which will provide effective control system implementation and support for their customers. They will be working on integrating a new label system at a few of their clients as well as other systems. Most of the work they do is within Material Handling but also deal with some manufacturing, pump systems, lighting and process control.
-electrical hardware, plc and hmi programming, troubleshooting and commissioning of control systems.
-interfacing conveyor systems to communicate across different areas of the system.
-prepare drawings and specs for awarded jobs
-confer with customers, vendors, and suppliers as needed
-provide all information necessary to the installation crew
-reporting of labor hours, and materials used
-attend trade show conferences
Travel is required for this position. They say it will be about 25% (or 1 week per month). Monday through Friday travel unless on the west coast then it could be up to two weeks but this is more rare. Average travel typically in the last couple years have been 20-30% Monday through Friday and home on the weekends.
