The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Contract Management Specialist to join the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Strategic Contracts team in Boeing Global Services (BGS). This team supports the DLA Boeing Captains of Industry (BCOI) performance based contract which entails Sustainment support of multiple aircraft programs.

BGS Contracts offers an excellent opportunity to work with multiple customers, get exposed to different Contract Types, and gain exposure with Executive Leadership. It also offers Finance professionals an excellent environment to learn the Contracts profession by working the entire contracting process and by having the support of an experienced Contracts Team.

This position will be located in St. Louis, Missouri with a mix of in-office and virtual work.

Position Responsibilities:

  • RFP/PPOA review, proposal pricing and development, order review, and interfacing with internal/external customers to address emerging issues

  • Represents the company to diverse customers, including U.S. Government, commercial, international and public/private institutions

  • Submits offers and serves as official Boeing representative to the customer

  • Develops and/or maintains effective working relationships with customer counterparts and the next level within the customer organization

  • Works closely with internal/external customers, program management, supplier management, estimating, finance, engineering and other internal functional partners

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher

  • 1+ years of experience in conflict resolution and/or mediation

  • 1+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts

  • Experience documenting contracts in support of US Government Prime Contracts

  • Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)

  • Experience with DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement)

  • Confident in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, and able to multi-task and manage expectations

  • Experience adapting to changes in schedules and priorities and solving problems and generating alternatives

  • Work well independently or as part of a team

  • Strong time management skills

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
