SAIC Senior Systems Engineer in HUNTSVILLE, Alabama
SAIC is currently looking to hire a Systems Engineer to join the PMO ASE team located in Huntsville, AL!
The candidate will function as an integral member of a team of Government, military, and contractor personnel that provide program, engineering, and technical support to Project Management Office, Aircraft Survivability Equipment (PMO ASE). The PMO ASE is an acquisition management organization under the Program Executive Office (PEO) Intelligence Electronic Warfare and Sensors (IEW&S). The team provides acquisition management support, program research, engineering, logistics, and technical support for aircraft survivability equipment.
Requirements allocation/trace and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Incorporates airworthiness standards into requirements and test plans
Conducted analyses at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, integration and test, installation, operation, and maintenance
Develops contractor statements of work and tracks contractor technical progress
Creates technology road maps
Assists with flight test activities
Risk assessment management
Assist with Diminishing Manufacturing Supply, Material Shortages process
Review and approve Contract Data Requirements List items
Support technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship is required
Understanding of established Systems Engineering processes and concepts
Experience defining, conducting, and evaluating requirement verification activities
Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition and Life Cycle Management System
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, including report writing
Self-motivated and customer-oriented
Experience with airborne platform products
Knowledge of the Army Airworthiness Release (AWR) process
Experience with software development, maturation, and testing
Experience with PMO ASE
