CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Commercial and Risk Management department. We are looking for a Director of Derivatives Risk Management. This senior position is responsible for leading a team to develop a derivative trading and risk management desk. Specifically related to futures trading and derivatives analytics to support product lines and cash trading, data analysis and position recommendations, using algorithm models to facilitate futures trades and commodity positions.
Proven track record managing a derivative based P&L.
Engage with product lines and the global research desk to develop derivative strategies to optimize cash positions and mitigate risk.
Lead a team that includes data scientists, data analysts and traders to analyze and deliver recommendations to cash desks which supports a trading bias, technical analysis and identifies macro market movement.
Build a derivative trading program framework to effectively give the company a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Develop a best in class value at risk and daily mark to market structure to manage real time risk on basis movement and increase transparency to overall business activity.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (or related field)
15+ years of cash and derivatives trading experience to include:
Expert level knowledge of global cash, grain and energy commodity derivatives markets
Understanding of derivative trading rules and regulations
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Cross business unit coordination experience
10+ years of leadership experience with progressively advancing levels of responsibilities
5+ years of trading financial derivative instruments experience
8+ years of International trade market experience
Series 3 license
