Nuclear Chemistry tech to perform routine and non-routine analytical and technical support of plant operations/maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sample plant systems.
Sample diesel fuel.
Comply with the Chemical Hygiene Plan.
Provide corrosion control.
Comply with laboratory quality control requirements.
Perform instrument calibration and operation.
Respond to off-normal conditions.
Input chemistry data into data management system.
Maintain chemistry within established limits and below action levels.
Perform data review.
Communicate to Chemistry Management in a timely manner any issue affecting plant chemistry.
Comply with the Chemical Control Program.
Respond to out-of-specification chemistry.
Understand adverse chemistry effects on equipment performance.
Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
Qualifications, Experience, & Physical Requirements:
Two (2) years minimum experience.
Must be able to meet ANSI 3.1 after completing technical training program.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or chemistry from an accredited university/college or successful completion of Naval Nuclear Power School & Eng. Laboratory Tech.
School or comparable civilian course of instruction in chemistry/radiochemistry.
ANSI 3.1 qualified with commercial nuclear power experience.
Must pass the EEI TECH test.

In addition to EEI testing there is also Fit-for-Duty testing which will identify and assess the abilities and skills needed for certain jobs. If this position does require Fit-for-Duty testing, the type of test will be located under the qualifications section of the job posting.
