DescriptionLot Processing Technician - 1st Shift Monday - Friday 0600-1430 Make a direct impact on the life of another by being a member of a very unique team of individuals. Community Tissue Services (CTS) is a not-for-profit tissue bank founded and headquartered in Dayton OH. CTS proudly serves the public through recovery, processing and distribution of human tissue grafts used for transplantation in life-saving and life-enhancing procedures. CTS is currently one of the largest US tissue banks, distributing nearly 10% of the tissue grafts in the United States. We are the largest nonprofit provider of skin grafts to surgeons for severe burn patients. CTS is accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB), and strives to be on the forefront of new graft development and biotechnology to better serve recipients and medical professionals.As a Lot Processing Technician you will work with prepared human tissue grafts, performing functions such as freeze drying, irradiation, labeling, inspection, packaging, contract shipping, inventory control, and supportive document control functions including data entry and filing.Job functions include: Load and unload tissue grafts from freeze dryer.Maintain an orderly freezer inventory to ensure ease of access to all grafts. Use inventory tracking and scan checking software to ensure traceability and proper identification.Prepare and receive tissue grafts for/from irradiation.Print labels and Label tissue grafts ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.Inspect grafts for quality, packaging integrity, and accuracy of documentation.Assist with preparation of contract shipments.When applicable, copy all records for contract shipments and ensure completeness and accuracy.Monitor freeze drier cycles to ensure optimal output.Perform supportive document control functions including data entry and filing.Receive and account for whole donors that have been released to manufacturingPerform other duties as assigned.
