Role Summary/Purpose:

This high-impact role will lead both Paid Search and Programmatic/Display strategy and execution for the Health & Wellness platform. The ideal candidate has deep Paid Media expertise in all funnel stages, a passion for driving growth through digital, and analytical acumen with a strong ability to marry insights to action. Reporting to the VP, Consumer Marketing - Acquisition, the VP of Paid Media will be a commercially-minded digital marketer who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.

This position is eligible to work remote, where you will work from home, and may require you to occasionally commute to one of our hubs for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Remote candidates will be considered who live near any Synchrony hub including: Alpharetta, GA, Chicago, IL, Costa Mesa, CA, Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Altamonte Springs, FL, Charlotte, NC, Dayton, OH, St. Paul, MN or Phoenix, AZ.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead Paid Search, Display, Video and Location strategy for the CareCredit DTC campaign

  • Grow existing campaigns while investigating and implementing new ways to profitably acquire new CareCredit cardholders

  • Partner with Paid Media organization to drive campaign optimization through testing new techniques, analyzing performance data, and shifting budget to top performing campaign elements, across paid media and/or other marketing efforts

  • Partner with internal agencies on planning, delivery and ongoing optimization of Paid Search and Programmatic campaigns

  • Partner with Digital Media Measurement, Ad Ops and analytics team to measure key metrics, reporting and identify insights to translate into campaign improvements

  • Collaborate with Paid Media CoE and Account Mgt. during planning and buying cycles to inform audience, inventory and creative strategy, execution and optimization

  • Understand and partner with the Ad Operations team on the tracking for all paid media, including pixels/tagging and site codes

  • Budget management, including forecasting, POs and invoicing

  • Collaborate with Media and Audience team on audience strategy including suppression and tollgate reviews

  • Share best practices and campaign results across enterprise functional teams and with executive leadership

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Deep expertise in Paid Media with a keen understanding of channel interactions, funnel stages, and multi-touch attribution

  • Strong test & learn approach for developing and leading an ongoing testing roadmap (creative, formats, audiences, tactics, platforms, etc.)

  • Ability to grasp complex information and translate into simple ideas and takeaways

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write and edit clear copy for ads that presents brand voice in a relevant, meaningful dialogue with target audiences

  • Experience with different ad formats across Search, Programmatic/Display, Native, CTV, and more

  • Understanding of digital tools and how they can support the campaign, such as Dynamic Yield, Google Management Platform, LiveRamp, DoubleVerify, Adobe, etc.

  • Knowledge or experience working within regulated industry (ideally finance), especially with audience targeting, audience development and marketing tollgate (legal, compliance, fair lending) approvals

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to influence across functional teams and present to leadership teams

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED and 10+ years of Digital Marketing experience

  • 5+ years of recent experience in Paid Media to include

  • Demonstrated passion for digital marketing

  • Clear, concise communicator – verbal and written

  • Strong project management, organizational skills and data-driven decision making

  • A collaborative team player with the ability to take the lead and guide cross-functionally

  • Basic knowledge in paid media tagging

  • 2+ years demonstrated strength in media analytics

  • A team player and a fast thinker -especially during critical or stressful times

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
