Maintenance Planner

As a Maintenance Planner, you are responsible for independently prioritizing and planning maintenance work which optimizes technician effectiveness. You will lead analysis of maintenance history (including root cause analysis) and utilizes multiple technical data sources to improve maintenance processes and minimize total cost of ownership. You are also responsible for planning pro-active maintenance for technicians through the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and working with maintenance leaders to develop and oversee processes to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance. You will play a key role in championing plant maintenance initiatives. Additionally duties include, maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), coordinate with maintenance personnel on CMMS issues, and train/assist CMMS users as necessary to ensure properly documented maintenance activity to support analysis and improvement of maintenance and production processes. You will advise on maintenance MRO stockroom operations. You will play a key role in developing and championing corporate maintenance initiatives.

Shift and Schedule: This role will be for our 1st Shift working 7:00am - 4:00pm. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled

Compensation: This is an exempt, salaried position paid on a biweekly cycle. Compensation is flexible and determined by candidate's experience level.

  • Advise on Knoxville stockroom operations to ensure economical availability of spare parts and compliance.

  • Advise on and champion continuous process improvement, lean, and total productive maintenance deployment in all maintenance operations.

  • Serve as a primary Knoxville representative in driving improvement of maintenance data systems and inventory processes.

  • Champion continuous process improvement in MRO and MP2 areas.

  • Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity using problem solving tools and techniques.

  • Communicate and coordinate with senior leadership, external suppliers/vendors, functional area leaders and stakeholders regarding status of specific projects.

  • Audit work orders to ensure completeness and identify action items or areas of concern and report findings to Maintenance Supervisors.

  • Assist with developing spare parts lists, kitting, and rebuild strategies.

  • Leads analysis of maintenance history (including root cause analysis).

  • Leads analysis of maintenance financial costs.

  • Routinely maintain CMMS (SAP) database and audit for accuracy.

  • Update CMMS with new equipment, task, employee, and work order information.

  • Assist with CMMS, inventory control, and purchasing needs.

  • Participate with maintenance personnel, engineers, and production personnel to document and improve maintenance tasks and processes.

  • Analyze and report on corporate and area maintenance performance.

  • Organize and audit plant maintenance documentation.

  • Supports the daily management system with metrics and analysis.

  • Comfortably, effectively, and supportively coaches and trains technically skilled professionals.

  • Assist with CMMS, inventory control, and purchasing needs as requested or needed.

  • Participate with maintenance personnel, engineers, production personnel, and network representatives to document and improve maintenance tasks and processes.

  • Analyze and report on network and area maintenance performance; Generate maintenance KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), and track the department’s performance against them.

  • Manages maintenance technical documentation for plant equipment and systems.

  • Support engineering projects with planning, MRO, financial analysis, and metric development.

  • Team member training coordination and delivery.

  • Train and assist CMMS users as necessary.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports but will lead and/or instruct at various times as required.

  • Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action.

  • Performs other duties as requested by management.

  • Follow all Keurig Green Mountain policies and procedures

Requirements

  • BS in engineering or business management field preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) certification preferred

  • 2+ years’ experience in maintenance planning, project management or comparable experience required

  • Experience managing multi-million dollar capital, expense, or commercialization projects a plus.

  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) required.

  • Experience with SAP preferred.

  • Demonstrated influence/communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) with various levels in organization.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated time management skills while delivering multiple objectives.

  • Demonstrated business analysis skills.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities.

  • Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.

  • Ability to follow Keurig Dr Pepper Policies and Procedures as well as our Operating Principles.
