Aerotek Operator Mechanic in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
2nd shift: 3p -11p (Monday - Friday, expect OT at least 2 Saturdays a month)
In a team environment following prescribed safety procedures, operates punch presses, forming and assembly machinery and performs packing operations. Machine operation may be a multiple machine hook-ups. Performs quality procedures and documents results. Is responsible for loading feeders with appropriate parts, operating machine controls, spot checking product for quality, and changing and setting up packaging containers (bag or carton). Removes jams, troubleshoots and makes adjustments to assigned production equipment. May assist Die and Mechanical personnel. May lubricate assigned equipment. May perform some Material Handler duties. Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures. Always performs duties with the goal of satisfying the customer.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
Must be able to read and understand production instructions, quality control instructions, and perform math calculations using decimals. Must read scales and various types of calipers. Must maintain minimum Certification requirements. A high school education is typical. Three years training and experience is required to attain certification.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK AIDS:
ASC Lines, Slitters, body makers, seamers, punch presses, fork lift trucks, powered and manual hand trucks. and Kodak equipment. Screwdriver, pliers, wrenches, and typical mechanic’s hand tools, fabricating equipment, counter balance packing wands, packing forks, and magnetized tools. May operate computer terminal and other office equipment.
RELATIONSHIPS: Within the team environment, shares the work responsibility to maintain standards of quality and quantity. May have contacts with Tool Room and Maintenance Personnel. Is responsible to the Department Team Leader.
