Receive and distribute goods to concerned departments in a timely manner. This position necessarily implies stockroom work as well as lifting boxes.
The following are responsibilities related to the role:
⦁ Receive and distribute goods to end users (ex: TA, FedEx, Purolator, UPS, computer equipment, samples, etc.);
⦁ Ensure replenishment of stock in the stockroom by creating requisitions and purchase orders following the Supervisor’s instructions (minimum, maximum, favourite suppliers, etc.);
⦁ Prepare the requisitions and distribute to the various departments;
⦁ Deliver or go pick up the goods with the company’s truck;
⦁ Distribute paper and cartridges for all photocopiers and fax machines;
⦁ Collect all used cartridges for recycling purposes;
⦁ Monitor the uniform delivery on a weekly basis;
⦁ Assign inventory numbers and manage the equipment database;
⦁ Maintain the receiving area tidy and clean;
⦁ Support administrative departments (Finance, Human Resources, Business Development) when necessary;
⦁ Respect all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
⦁ Maximize the use of all resources;
⦁ Manage time effectively;
⦁ Improve competencies with senior staff;
⦁ Remain informed on all related standards and developments related to the job through self-education and external training;
⦁ Substitute and/or replace department colleagues;
⦁ Perform any other reasonable tasks that may be required.
The following are minimum qualifications related to the position:
⦁ High School Diploma;
⦁ Valid driver’s license for light truck;
⦁ Relevant training or experience in purchasing;
⦁ Knowledge of good laboratory practices (GLP);
⦁ Reading English is required. Bilingualism is preferable;
⦁ Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
⦁ Excellent analysis and problem solving skills;
⦁ Precision and attention to detail;
⦁ Ability to work in a team environment;
⦁ Working knowledge of related computer applications.
⦁ Work performed in an office and stockroom;
⦁ Some sensory attention is required on a regular basis;
⦁ Occasionally could have to lift boxes up to 25-30 kg.
⦁ This position requires to work with deadlines;
⦁ Work schedule requires some flexibility, as per job requirements.
