Our Senior Manager PMO will oversee the management of all cross-functional engagements including project governance, reporting and tool development needed to support PMO operations. The selected candidate must be able to lead process improvement, standards definition and adoption of all methodology tools, templates and PMO governance. Our goal is to be viewed as the leader in planning, execution, and delivery of technology-centric projects for our internal customers. Additionally, you’ll focus on establishing and implementing best practices to improve the project intake, prioritization, and standardization of project management methodology ensuring consistency, effectiveness, cost management and optimal project delivery. You’ll also support Agile transformation across the organization. Reports to the Senior Director of Digital Transformation & Enablement.
Leading PMO efforts to develop and enhance process, procedures, establish controls, templates and tools.
Ensure process adoption throughout the organization.
Support portfolio and project management functions within the PMO.
Assist with establishing best practices that improve effectiveness and productivity.
Train and build a team of highly skilled project managers and analysts.
Develop and standardize metrics and KPIs to support the department and company reporting.
Provide reports and dashboards related to project tracking, revenue and opportunity pipeline.
Own the training and communication functions within the PMO.
Own the methodology adoption, governance and risk management processes with solution delivery that can be deployed globally.
Support the Executives in leading the strategy and roadmap for process improvement and implementation of best practices across the Solution Delivery organization.
Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Several years’ experience in PMO management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing large highly complex technical projects including process standardization, application development, platform implementations & migrations, system integration, process improvement, and PMO governance. Must have earlier experience directing multiple concurrent multi-year projects involving many systems and platforms.
Prefer solid understanding of retail business models, automotive dealership operations and IT project management background to be an optimal fit.
Must possess strong technical skills to understand complex systems and how they are structured to support different lines of businesses for the company.
Must be comfortable managing, influencing and negotiating with executives, senior stakeholders and external vendors.
Experience leveraging DevOps-like experience to effectively manage complex projects utilizing Agile or hybrid Agile / Waterfall methodologies.
Extensive experience defining and implementing project management standards, processes and best practices. Must understand business processes and optimization of processes via re-engineering.
Experience managing projects in Oracle RDF, Salesforce and eCommerce would be plus.
Experience working in Jira, Confluence, Planview, SharePoint all pluses.
Experience creating Project Plans as well as business and technical roadmaps.
Must have a LEAN mindset and knowledge of or experience with other frameworks such as CMMI, ITIL, ISO, Lean Six Sigma would be preferable.
Certification in Project Management by a nationally recognized institution is strongly desired and candidates with certification will be given preference over other education and experience combinations. (PMI, IAPM, CompTIA, etc.)
Must have exemplary collaboration, communication, documentation and presentation skills.
Travel may be required – 25% or more for extended time periods according to project needs and locations of key project resources.
Highly motivated with exemplary organizational and big-picture visualization skills.
