Description of the cluster:
You would work in the Big Data cluster and take care for the needs of the BDAA client who works with data. Your focus would be on the operation of the NiFi-Platform which is used to create and maintain data pipelines to the Commerzbank Data Lake. We work in a cluster structure which allows the project teams to work on their tasks in a self-organized and flexible manner. Each project team holds product responsibility from start to end, from software development to operation. The teams use agile working methods for their organization to be able to deliver products to customers faster and more efficiently. We are heavy users of Confluence, Jira and BitBucket (Git).
Description of the position:
In your role as a Data Engineer Operations - NiFi, you will be responsible for the continuous development of the Commerzbank central NiFi Platform that is closely connected to the Commerbank Data Lake (Hadoop Platform). The Data Lake is one of the foundations of Commerzbank 4.0 Transformation to a digital technology company. The NiFi-Platform is being used to create data piplines to and from the Data Lake.
You take a role in an innovation driven team, that will provide the key technology which is based on modern Hadoop Distribution from Hortonworks Data Platform and Data Flow. They are the base stack for our Data Lake and Analytics Platform.
Technology is evolving over time; we are constantly learning new and better ways how to deal with the challenges of Big Data. More important than concrete experience in certain technologies is the right learning mindset to constantly challenge the status quo and the desire to ´learn and improve.
