We have an opportunity for a Director of Business Development to lead on successfully proposing and marketing CBRE’s leading lease management tool to prospective and new clients.

Job Title: Director of Business Development, SaaS Technology

Location: London

Role Purpose

The role is accountable for successfully proposing and marketing CBRE’s leading lease management tool to prospective and new clients. This position is responsible to establish the go to market plan for our lease management technology and is accountable for how we win new business leveraging the technology platform. The role includes creating and maintaining technology marketing and sales collateral, technology demonstration content and playing an active role in selling our platform.

Working with colleagues, you will facilitate collecting content and responses to client questions and RFPs in support of winning new business. In this role you will work directly with and provide support to various CBRE sales teams and leads where CBRE is offering services using the technology as well as taking the lead role to own and pursue clients directly for Software as a Service (SaaS) opportunities. This role will require you to interact with clients remotely or in person and to observe marketplace and market trends to provide input to our product development team and improve marketing plans and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities, respond to potential clients, and lead efforts to grow the number of accounts, clients, and users of our product, in conjunction with Sales leadership across the world.

• Drive engagement, presentation, product demonstration and sales discussions with potential clients.

• Build and maintain a global and world-class demonstration toolkit that showcases the latest product capabilities and ensure global sales teams are enabled and prepared to leverage the environment to pursue and win new business.

• Build a network of Portfolio Services sales professionals that can perform technology presentations and demos. Staff and manage business development resources to drive global engagement and SaaS client pursuits.

• Establish and drive business and marketing strategies to acquire potential clients, both directly as well as through market and regional interest.

• Oversee and participate in creation of marketing material, including presentations, proposal content, case studies, brochures as well as online digital marketing presence.

• Leverage social media to drive increased awareness and market presence of the Sequentra technology platform.

• Evangelize the product both externally to the market and client directly, as well as internal sales and client account teams.

• Assist with defining the commercial model and pricing parameters; assist with preparing cost estimates for new client proposals as part of the overall pricing submission.

• Negotiate contracts and terms with potential clients, including working with legal teams as needed.

• Monitor product market tends and engage with product team to determine features and enhancements for potential sales and marketing boost.

• Create and submit responses to RFP and RFI opportunities from potential clients. Attend client yellow pad sessions; participate in discovery efforts to fully assess client’s current state and go forward aspirations, needs and objectives.

• Solicit and document feedback and testimonial from new clients.

• Support customer success and transitions teams as needed.

Person Specification/Requirements

• Proven direct client SaaS technology sales experience

• Strong experience in lease administration, portfolio management and/or project management software from a technology sales perspective.

• Excellent experience and knowledge with office tools such as PowerPoint, Word and creation of legal contracts and client facing presentations.

• Familiarity with technology architectures, infrastructures and general system integration methods; understanding of compliance and audit demands towards SOX, SOC1 and SOC2.

• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI a plus.

• Ability to interact and communicate with various technology roles including development, support, product management, systems administration.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to explain technical topics in an easily digestible manner.

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
