Amazon is looking for a highly motivated Senior Technical Program Manager, who can lead technically challenging programs and projects across Security.

As a Technical Program Manager in the Security Operational Research team, you coordinate automation projects designed to improve capabilities, efficiency, and speed for Security Operations. You are a highly visible leader that will own the communication, coordination, and execution of several large-scale automation projects. You work with engineers and leaders to define strategy and requirements. You make appropriate trade-offs between business and technical constraints, clearly communicate goals, status, roles and responsibilities. You identify opportunities to converge overlapping technical efforts, and drive the long term strategy with support of engineering leaders.

A day in the life

As an Operational Research Technical Program Manager, you take part in design discussions, customer and stakeholder meetings. You structure and prioritize needs, acting as a product owner for the automation products being delivered, actively taking part in the strategy definition.

You use metrics to conduct data-driven analysis of the existing, identify and document gaps, provide feedback on new practices & procedures, and build plans to implement desired outcomes.

You execute the program, providing status to engineers and senior leaders on a regular basis

About the hiring group

You will work with a small team of passionate security engineers with strong background in automation and architecture on AWS and past incident response experience.

We are part of an operational team and place a high emphasis on Bias for Action, Deliver Results, and Customer Obsession.

Our team is dispatched across EMEA. This role is open to selected alternative locations including London (United Kingdom), Paris (France), Dublin (Ireland)

Job responsibilities

· Effectively interact and collaborate with Customers, Executive Project Sponsors, Engineering Leaders, and across multiple internal teams to define and deliver complex solutions

· Proactively recognize and drive opportunities to simplify processes

· Act as product owner for the tools delivered within your programs

· Manage Operational relationships with support teams and internal operations business partners to increase performance and operational excellence.

· Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance business needs with technical constraints.

· Create, maintain and disseminate program information to stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry.

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field or related experience

· Experience managing or coordinating development efforts.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals up to executive level.

· Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects

· Knowledge of internet security issues and threat landscape.

· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment. A high degree of organization.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry.

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field or related experience

· Experience managing engineering or development efforts.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals up to executive level.

· Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects

· Knowledge of internet security issues and threat landscape.

· Familiarity with Cloud Environment and architecture.

· Ability to script and automate reporting

· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment. A high degree of organization.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills
