Position Summary

Reporting to the AGM of The Booking Office, you are responsible for advocating and delivering a five-star food & beverage experience to our guests alongside supervisors and team members. You are responsible for The Booking Office’s daily bookings, reservations, groups and people management tasks of your team. You will lead by example in your management style, people development and coaching, sales-orientated approach, performance reviews/management. The ability to not only manage but to liaise with the marketing and sales department to drive the business and increase guest database and recognition are a fundamental part of your role. You will represent the Booking Office and uphold expectations, reputation and service standards in all that you do. Guests’ retention and recognition are the focus to help the team in offering a personal and customised experience.

You’ll need to know your stuff:

You’ll be expected to deliver on the following:

  • To lead the team on the floor ensuring our host/ess’ are following brand standards at all times and maximising revenue.

  • Lead the booking systems for The Booking Office to ensure revenue and the spaces available are maximised.

  • Work together with the sales team to provide the best training opportunities for our team not only on hosting duties but also the sales piece.

  • You collaborate with the Sales team on site visits to potential clients of both the hotel and the booking office. At these visits you will be responsible for portraying The Booking Office in the best possible regard and selling the space for future use.

  • Attitude, grooming standard, body language and tone need to be positive, supportive and on brand at all times.

  • You and your team are expected to deliver service to your full potential when you are here.

  • You are also expected to carry out other duties that may be required to ensure the overall hotel operation is properly maintained to provide a total guest experience.

  • You will lead in the planning and organisation of upcoming events in The Booking Office. This will include creation of function sheets, site visits, tastings and guest relations up to, during and post event.

  • Work closely with the Sales, marketing and PR teams in all aspects relating influencer engagement at The Booking Office. You will act as a first point of contact for all influencers visiting the establishment, ensuring that The Booking Office is appropriately represented and exposed.
