Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Mainland, Pennsylvania
Overview: Large manufacturer in Montgomery County, PA is actively looking for Packaging Mechanics with experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs to production lines and other equipment. Mostly mechanical work, minimal electrical knowledge required. The openings are on all shifts. The position pays $18-$32/hr based on experience/interview, and there are benefits.
Description: This candidate will perform mechanical set ups and maintenance tasks on assigned machines.
Troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repairs to production lines and equipment.
Set up full line configurations of multiple pieces of equipment, independently with minimal supervision (all machines are custom)
Supervise subordinate mechanical personnel and assist in troubleshooting and training
Generate Purchase Requisitions for materials and parts needed
Interact with Management to assist in new project quotation generation by providing input on equipment choices, potential capital purchases or improvements and estimated output.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to push a 55 gallon drum full of bulk product up to 6ft
Ability to stand on concrete floors for full shift period
Must have manual dexterity to unfasten and fasten large and small parts together using hand tools
Ability to work overtime or extended shifts as needed
