The EDI Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the processing of EDI Data Files. The role will focus on ensuring client eligibility files are loaded, approved and posted within established KPI’s. The Data Analyst will develop a strong understanding of EyeMed system rules and processes in order to load or analyze issues and communicate to cross functional teams and management. This role will oversee SSAE 18 reports and other daily, weekly and monthly reports within Business Objects. This role will also support the Initial Data team with loading test files to assure accuracy of layout and content of client data as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform membership electronic file loading into EyeMed systems
Responsible for explaining data formatting requirements to internal employees as they relate to load issues or upload holds.
Coordinate and answer client service team and membership team questions.
Assist in coordinating the receipt, tracking, loading and reporting of membership data.
Communicate with cross functional team data layout or integrity issues in a timely manner and escalate to Management when appropriate.
Identify and recommend system and process improvements for the membership team.
Responsible for overseeing, reviewing and updating SSAE 18 reports and other regularly ran reports as well as any Ad hoc reporting needed by the team.
Ability to perform test file loads to verify accuracy of layout and content of client data.
Ability to analyze file issues to determine resolution of errors or file load issues.
Validate completion and accuracy of membership loading through timely audits of processor loads.
Understand and communicate data requirements for all data submission types including proprietary and 834 formats.
Establish strong rapport and communications with internal membership team and cross functional teams.
Establish best practices and perform new employee training.
Associates degree in business and/or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
2+ years EDI experience
Ability to analyze and manipulate electronic data
1+ years’ experience in SAP Business Objects and/or Sql or other reporting software
Experience with proprietary and 834 HIPAA data formats
Strong written and oral communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Systems
1+ years’ experience in system testing and report development
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot electronic data issues
Understands third party benefits and administration
