Working as part of a team of Process experts, the role will have responsibility predominantly for New Build, New Line and Line Conversion start- up performance in UVIO and Printer areas. He/she will has their own process area of responsibility based on their prior experience and role within the team. Responsibility will predominantly be driven by achieving Efficiency and Spoilage, respecting safety requirements in the first instance, with secondary responsibility for other KPIs such as Material usages, Production Supplies, as appropriate to the area of expertise.
Direct reporting will be via a Process Specialist Supervisor with a dotted line to EMEA Technical Training Manager.
NOTE: There will potentially be periods of Shift working and 10 days on 4 days off working pending performance at start-up and location of site.
Key Responsibilities Include:
•Efficiency and Spoilage for all New Build, New Line and Line Conversions start-ups as per the agreed start-up curves
•Although responsibility will be assigned by area, the overall start-up performance will be the responsibility of the whole team.
•Training of site personnel in Process understanding and performance as required, both at point of recruitment and during start-up period
•Size Conversion support
•Identification of Best Practice opportunities
Emergency Breakdown support
•Electrical or Mechanical qualification
•Training/ teaching qualification to minimum Train The Trainer
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience of operating in Can manufacturing
•Has used basic Problem Solving techniques and the basics of Lean
•Worked in cross-cultural teams (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of the full Can making process and subject expert in at least one specific area.
•Ability to transfer Can making process knowledge to others
•Analytical skills that can analyse data and facilitate problem solving using this data
•Has the ability to use data to make informed decisions
•Good computer literacy to aid data analysis and for the writing of reports
