We are seeking a highly-motivated and experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Hydraulic Modeling and Optimization Team. You will help develop solutions to our client’s complex water management challenges considering a range of decision factors including hydraulics, cost, constructability, regulations, and public perception. Our team believes in going beyond business-as-usual hydraulic modeling by incorporating machine learning and data analytics. Strong collaboration amongst our team and technical innovation is a must in our fast-paced consulting environment.
As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will:
Build, apply, and manage hydrologic and hydraulic models of water distribution and collection systems
Improve traditional modeling workflows by applying advanced data analytics, machine learning and visualization tools
Support the development of junior staff and project delivery teams
Complete draft deliverables with minimal supervision
Coordinate and communicate with clients to define scope and present findings
Participate in sales pursuits, water market conferences, and professional organizations in order to build Jacobs industry recognition

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar field
At least 5 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
Strong proficiency with the following software - EPA-SWMM, Innovyze ICM, and ArcGIS
Excellent time management, personal accountability, verbal communication and technical writing
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Additional progressive relevant experience
Master’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar field
Professional Engineer license
Data analysis and visualization skills (e.g. Python, Power BI)
Experience applying optimization approach preferably with Optimatics Optimizer software
Knowledge and experience with project management
