Aerotek CNC Mill Machinist in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Description:
We are currently looking for a Milling machinist to work on the 1st shift.
The machines run extremely expensive parts and will require machinists of a very high skill level to be successful.
We are getting busier with one of our larger clients and need to add staff.
Sets up, adjusts, checks out programming and operates CNC Mills to perform a series of progressive machining operations requiring a high degree of skill, holding +/- .0005
Working on 3 to 5 axis Vertical and Horizontal CNC Milling Machines
The previous specific machine experience isn't extremely important.
Candidates will be working with Fanuc controls.
They will be responsible for machining large parts to close tolerances on Kurt's vertical and horizontal Mill's- mostly horizontal.
This candidate will be doing anywhere from 1-4 setups per day, but usually 1-2 per day.
They will read blueprints, do complex shop math and inspect their own parts using height gauges and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 4-5 years experience setting up Mills
Must have a minimum of 4-5 years reading blueprints, inspecting parts, and G&M code edits
Must have experience machining larger parts.
Must understand geometric tolerances, have a basic knowledge of SPC and good shop practices
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
