Responsible for the management of Maintenance Planners and coordinating and supporting system-wide conduct of the daily scheduled maintenance operation. Technical Operations focal for maintenance requirements and allocations. Actively involved in future schedule building, defining, and coordinating maintenance requirements between Tech Ops and Network Planning. Participate in the daily Maintenance Operations meeting providing status Line operations aircraft and/or modification lines. Develop, maintain Maintenance Planning Playbook (reference only) Support in development of annual operating plans, communicate and ensure Technical operations has right information they need for clear budget planning to support the operation. Responsible for demand requirement management to support Technical Operations in understanding implications of Mx Program changes and aircraft projects that impact future demand. Develop line station capacity models and performance tracking tools to support resource optimization, including automation throughout maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution process. Coordinate and negotiate Line Maintenance contracts for scheduled RON stations. Monitor cost performance of contract maintenance, activities, and identifying problem areas with comprehensive fixes. Identify, develop, and schedule appropriate corrective action plans for critical work requirements, such as open MELs, CDLs, DMIs and repeat discrepancies. Coordinate with Dispatch and SOC for routing and tracking aircraft to enable timely accomplishment of required maintenance requirements. Lead development of maintenance network model to forecast, provide scenario / planning, data analysis to support strategic initiatives and decision making for Tech Ops maintenance footprint, system capacity and facility development. Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines. Any other duties assigned by management Supervisory Responsibility Maintenance Planners Required Skills Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Ability to utilize TRAX Maintenance Management Software systems to make informed maintenance scheduling decisions Required Experience The candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years in a FAR Part 121 Airline Maintenance Operation. The candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years in Aircraft Maintenance Planning with experience in short-term, intermediate, and long-term maintenance planning. Strong IT automation experience developing performance tracking and frontline reporting tools Ability to work closely with other operational groups to bring about desired outcomes/performance. Ability to work independently and complete tasks on-time and within budget requirements.
