As a Network Pricing Manager, you will play a key role in establishing strategic pricing and managing pharmacy network performance for UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare & Retirement business. Although this is an individual contributor role requiring strong cross functional collaboration and deep understanding of network pricing to maximize savings opportunities, we are also seeking someone who has led / mentored / supervised others. This role requires an advanced proficiency using MS Excel for analyses, the ability to convey complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, and someone who is adaptable, able to work independently, and be comfortable sometimes dealing with ambiguity.

Managing and reporting of generic discount performance for the Medicare line of business
Ensuring all contractual terms are satisfied for the client and network providers
Producing network pricing assumptions used in UnitedHealthcare’s M&R's annual CMS bid submission
Strategic pricing for future plan year used to market over 500 plans
Managing and reporting on achieved affordability value OptumRx provides to UHC M&R
Additional analyses used to identify key drivers of variances throughout the plan year

Bachelor’s degree (or High School Diploma / GED with 10+ years of directly related experience)
5+ years of experience in a role analyzing, summarizing, and presenting data; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency working in MS Excel (able to maintain large worksheets, work with Data Lists and Tables, use Advanced Functions, and create and work with Pivot Tables)
Intermediate or better proficiency working with other programs in MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to work independently, and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity

Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, etc.
3+ years of experience working in pharmacy benefit management (PBM), working for OptumRx, and / or working for UnitedHealthcare’s M&R
Experience using SQL, MS Access, Python, etc.
Experience leading and / or supervising others
Knowledge of Medicare Part D
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others coupled with extremely strong attention to detail

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
