Responsibilities Req ID: 68728 The Security Supervisor role is to provide direct supervision to third party security providers and security staff and ensure a safe environment of care for Allina Health facilities and other owned/leased sites, through the protection of property and persons. Supervises third party security providers for Commons and AHG to include staff, productivity, conduct and accountability. Coordinates, develops and schedules Allina security training. Assist in evaluation of third party security providers for Allina. Assists in developing and maintaining Allina's crime prevention, crime analysis and investigation programs. Maintenance and inventory of security systems and equipment. Serves as a liaison/department representative at meetings Assist in enhanced Corporate Security Services Education Bachelor Degree in criminal justice, business, psychology, sociology or related field and/or five years security, military police or law enforcement experience required. Graduate degree a plus. Qualification/Skills Experience Minimum 2 years leadership experience (healthcare environment preferred) and 2 years experience in security setting Skills Knowledge of JCAHO and federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines related to emergency management Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures Ability to develop, prepares, and implements effective emergency response plans, procedures, and documentation Strong interpersonal and communication skills plus the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in diverse communities Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities Administrative, operations, and security management skills Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management Ability to respond outside of normal working
