The Analytics and development team is responsible for designing the financial data infrastructure for the Corporate Treasury, and for providing the tools and analytics necessary for liquidity and interest-rate risk management.

The associate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the analytics platforms to support the Treasury’s liquidity risk, interest-rate risk and fund-transfer pricing processes. The ideal candidate has strong programming and data manipulation skills and will develop a solid understanding of the Bank’s different activities, systems and data environments.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist and support the production activities for liquidity risk, interest-rate risk, pension fund and fund-transfer pricing

  • Act as an expert in data management by developing a knowledge of risk data and interacting with the various stakeholders

  • Design tools to support and contribute to the improvement of risk management processes

  • Enrich, maintain, and optimize the Corporate Treasury’s data analytics environments.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation regarding these processes.

  • Collaborate to define business rules, prepare data sets, and make them available using reporting tools to facilitate proactive decision-making. (Eg.: dashboard, analysis, report, model, database, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a related quantitative discipline (finance, economics, math, computer science) and at least 2 years of experience.

  • Knowledge of risk management fundamentals and financial markets

  • Experience in data management (extraction, manipulation, analysis, and storage) using SQL, SSIS, Visual Studio or any other languages/tools

  • Knowledge in data governance, an asset

  • Experience in programming (Python, R, VBA, .NET, SAS, …)

  • Knowledge of visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, …), an asset

  • Strong capacity to evolve in a changing environment

  • Ability to deliver quality results within tight deadlines.
