AT&T Senior-Software Engineer in Olympia, Washington
This DevOps oriented resource will be responsible for solution design and engineering of cloud native infrastructure necessary to enable security applications. This includes a focus in IaaS and PaaS related service elements, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), mechanized system provisioning, virtual systems elasticity and capacity planning, continuous software application delivery, performance configuration tuning, cloud virtual networking and resilient high-availability. This resource will also need to plan and execute in the area of operations planning for lifecycle platform and break-fix support, as well as telemetry systems design, development, and implementation supporting operations and maintenance functions. Lastly this resource will enable important infrastructure centric testing functions including: usability, readiness, quality, and regression testing to ensure the cloud security platform is available and operating as expected to meet the service demand.
Experience with and skills in the following are needed:
Proficient in security infrastructure knowledge and experience related to emerging cloud concepts including: industry leading cloud foundations, cloud elasticity, automation, software defined services, continuous integration, continuous delivery, DevOps concepts, virtual computing, and microservices.
Experience in network and systems architecture design, requirements generation, network security and defense in depth principles, networking in virtual environments, systems administration and deployment, host or workload security, technology management and development processes (Azure, AWS, firewalls, private links, bastions, virtual networks, etc.).
Ability to understand, troubleshoot, build and test complex virtual systems deployments.
Working knowledge of security management practices including risk management, security policies and procedures, information assurance classifications, and security work-flow roles and responsibilities.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work across diverse technical organizations
Technical writing, technical illustrations and documentation skills required
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
Experience creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm)
Experience with static code analysis tools (Sonar, Veracode, Veracode SCA)
Experience with dynamic code analysis tools (IBM AppScan)
