ROLE SUMMARY:

The Enterprise Risk Product Owner develops and maintains a clear vision for the Enterprise Risk Management systems along with a road map for conversion and integrating use cases. The incumbent serves as the production owner of Enterprise Risk Management’s technology systems, ensuring alignment and support of the firm’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs on those platforms. The Product Owner collaborates with risk and assurance teams to align all risk management activities to the Firm’s enterprise risk management systems. The Product Owner will define business requirements and partner with Technology to implement new functionality and system enhancements in support of maturing the firm’s ERM Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates business requirements for development and implementation of functionality supporting an integrated risk management approach. The Product Owner leverages his or her own risk management experience and expertise to identify opportunities to integrate the firm’s various Risk Programs within the enterprise risk management systems.

  • Serves as Production Owner of Enterprise Risk Management Systems. Gains an understanding of the various risk programs at the firm and defines business requirements for integration into the enterprise risk management systems. Serve as relationship lead with risk program owners and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of user experience and business needs.

  • Serves as Enterprise Risk Management data domain owner. The position is the primary business contact ensuring alignment of risk management taxonomy and related content across the firm’s Enterprise Risk Management systems. Partners with risk officers and risk program owners to maintain risk management hierarchy and taxonomy within the platform.

  • Partners with risk officers and risk program owners to define risk management reporting, dashboards and analytics covering risk levels, risk management activities and related status of risk issues across the firm. Coordinates with Technology to design and implement reporting, metrics and dashboards for all data housed in the ERM systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • College degree and 6 or more years of related work experience

Preferred

  • 8+ years of related experience

  • Experience in risk management in a public company, preferably in the financial services industry.

  • Prior experience with a GRC platform, such as RSA Archer, BWise or Metricstream

  • Knowledge of COSO ERM, COSO Internal Control or other risk & control frameworks

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to analyze and assess business process for risk impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to be technical and tactical but think, act, and communicate in a strategic manner.
