As a(n) Enterprise Infra Mgr Sr (Mainframe) within PNC's ET&S organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh PA or Cleveland OH.

This innovative leadership role will be responsible for the engineering and operations of our mainframe product set at PNC. As part of this role, the leader will be responsible for designing and engineering the mainframe environment of the future for PNC. This will include working closely with development teams to ensure we build the right level of agility and flexibility into our mainframe environment to include the build out of our DevOps capabilities around the mainframe. This role with lead an organization focused on the managing all aspects of the mainframe environment. Requires significant experience leading technical teams involved with the hardware & software components. In addition, this leader must possess strong technology and cultural transformation skills. Extensive vendor management & negotiations experience required.

  • Strong leadership skills (dealing with team & interfacing w/others)

  • 10+ years leading mainframe engineering teams to understand technology challenges & history

  • Understanding of PNC processes would be a plus (change management, problem management, MIS structure, etc.)

  • IT/Data Processing degree (proven ability to learn)

  • 5+ years' Experience managing mainframe vendors & contract negotiations (IBM, Dell, Broadcom, BMC, etc.)

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with DevOps practices and tooling

  • Software programming experience/background is a plus

Job Description

  • Delivers products/services in alignment with business needs and objectives. Responsible for multiple teams or departments within the Enterprise Infrastructure function.

  • Leads infrastructure planning, development strategies/initiatives and product lifecycle/service orientation; determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs. Oversees portfolio/program/project management responsibilities. Directs financial management and risk management capabilities.

  • Leads stable and secure environment, incident management, product health/patching, and the asset management lifecycle. Communicates with vendors, suppliers and executive management to ensure availability of infrastructure technologies and support.

  • Designs best practices for technology architecture and management.

  • Directs, motivates, develops and oversees the performance of the management team and key staff.

Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required.
