AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist for our Markham office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
Responsibilities for the role includes:
Provide technical assistance on safety-related compliance projects; safety management system development and implementation; safety oversight, industrial hygiene monitoring; and safety auditing.
Develop safety procedures, plans, permits, and reports.
Assess regulatory compliance across various safety programs and environmental media.
Perform compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulations.
Design and implement safety management systems and programs for clients.
Conduct training, field coaching, and assessment for safety performance improvement projects.
Provide on-site H&S compliance support at client facilities.

Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related degree.
3 to 7 years relevant consulting experience in working with significant industrial clients on regulatory compliance and sustainable H&S compliance programs.
Be passionate about safety performance improvement and have working experience with the following H&S topics:
Demonstrated ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation.
MS Office Suite and database management for managing large volumes of data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Possess or working towards certification in field; CRSP or similar registration highly desirable.
