The Position: CT Operator 2

Our Champion Target, Richmond facility is seeking a CT Operator to add to our team. The CT Operator will be responsible for ensuring that the quality and quantity of targets of all cells meet the production and quality standards of the company.

Responsibilities: Including but not limited to

  • Maintain molding operations; producing product at required rates, specifications and quality.

  • Monitor, adjust, maintain and repair machines as trained; Cooling Systems, Air Compressors, Air Filtration, Feed system, Mixer, Molding table, Paint Booth, Conveyors, Stackers, and Case Sealers.

  • Keep rejected regrind at a minimum and dump all regrind generated into hoppers and reuse.

  • Clean and adjust Ink-Jet and Check-Weigh equipment, making correct selection for product descriptions. Replenish ink supply for Ink-Jet Systems.

  • Clean, adjust, and repair hammer mill, ensuring proper feeding of regrind.

  • Assist MA Packer and MA Helper when necessary to avoid production delays.

  • Stack finished goods when necessary on wooden pallets per specification sheet.

  • Maintain production log in an orderly manner.

  • Troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently.

  • Start up and shut down equipment as needed.

  • Keep work areas and machines clean and orderly.

  • Empty regrind barrels daily, ensuring that no barrel is more than 1/3 full at the end of shift.

  • Give breaks to other Manufacturing Associates.

  • Assist in sorting and repacking of targets.

  • Move raw materials and finished goods to and from the production area and warehouse area using a forklift and wrap palletized production as needed.

  • Keep sufficient raw material stock for cell operators and proper amounts of mix paints.

  • Observe all applicable safety rules and correct unsafe conditions and potential safety hazards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.

  • 2 year technical degree OR equivalent work experience.

  • 2 + years manufacturing experience working with engineering and maintenance related projects.

  • Willingness and ability to learn and put forth a motivated effort
