Position Mission Statement: The Human Resources Generalist is a strong partner to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources, supervisors and staff members and provides support and guidance on a variety of HR related functions including managing the benefits and compensation programs, managing the talent acquisition and payroll administration process. This position is reports to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources and is a member of the Operations and Learning team which includes staff members from the Human Resources team. Benefits/Compensation Manages organization s compensation program; completing salary surveys, maintaining the salary structure in HRIS, analyzing data and trends, running the comprehensive salary planning process and producing annual total reward statements. Manages organization s health and welfare benefit plans and programs including, processing billing statements, benefits education, coordinating plan changes, distributing compliance notices, administering benefits enrollment and participant changes and acting as the primary contact for third party benefit carriers and coordinating annual open enrollment process. Manages benefits annual enrollment process including working with benefit broker, conducting analysis related to any potential benefit changes and coordination of content for leadership and all staff meetings. Ensures compliance with COBRA guidelines, in partnership with third party administrator. Manages benefit and compensation elements of employee leave of absences (e.g., parental leave, STD, LTD, FMLA). Oversees administration of worker s compensation claims. Payroll and Administrative Support Complete bi-weekly payroll. Primary payroll contact for Finance team; provide necessary data in support of accurate payroll processing and collaborate to ensure system effectiveness. Audit employee time entries. Enter bi-weekly pay data including garnishments, special pay, etc. in payroll system. Reconciling to previous pay data. Execute all year end processes including W-2 generation and distribution. Accountable for Human Resource Information System management and maintenance; including processing employee status changes, reporting, improvements and audits. Talent Acquisition Manage the full cycle talent acquisition process for a wide variety of roles. Develop effective, thorough and creative talent acquisition plans and strategies. Source applicants through various methods including job sites, advertising, use of external recruiters, and networking opportunities. Manage applicant tracking system and maintain accurate and current data; ensure regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment process are compliant with applicable laws. Create a positive candidate experience by ensuring candidates receive timely, thoughtful, accurate and engaging messaging throughout the hiring process. Manage all aspects of external recruiter relationships in a manner that builds a deep understanding of and relationship with the Foundation. Determine applicant qualifications by reviewing resumes, phone screening applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements. Based on information gathered, make recommendations to hiring manager for candidates to be interviewed by a larger group. Oversee coordination of all interview and debrief logistics in partnership with Administrative Support staff. Provide feedback to organization
