Introduction

Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Services is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect and Design Support for Client on Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM). As a member of the TCIS Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (HCI) organization, the Cloud Architect will use in-depth expertise to design and influence client decisions for Cloud implementation. Tasks will include but not limited to support, implement and design of HCI projects, engage with clients in multiple sectors for TC&IS, configuration and installation reviews, Security compliance and discussion with managed services teams. You will become an escalation point for any client problem or issue. You will be responsible to interface directly with clients and help steer them towards solutions and designs consistent with the organization offerings to newer Cloud technologies and designs. Additionally, your expertise is needed to develop a HCI strategy for TC&IS use-cases that can be replicated across different client environments.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Advise clients on technical solutions to best meet their technical and commercial needs

• Build IBM technical capacity by demonstration and mentorship of others as Subject Matter Expert (SME)

• In-depth knowledge of Enterprise and/or Service provider needs

• Provide SME content for client RFP’s

• Experience collaborating effectively across remote teams and time zones, and collaborating with Senior Technical Leaders

• Team with local IBM market teams, building credibility by example

• Ability to work cross culturally

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• A proven track record of architecture expertise on large-scale Cloud environments

• Minimum of 5 years IT operations and engineering experience

• 2 years Cloud technologies experience

• Strong understanding of Linux and virtualization technologies

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing technology requirements

• Strong system design background

• Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills

• Able to navigate fast paced and rapidly evolving environments

• Leadership and Agile methodologies including also Continuous Integration Principles

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Cloud platform certification on AWS, Azure, Google, IBM (at least 1 of them)

• Knowledge on Multiplatform Cloud: Software Defined Networks

• Knowledge on Multiplatform Cloud: Security Principles and Implementation

• Experienced and certification on Redhat Openshift

• Experienced and certification on RedHat Linux

• Knowledge on RedHat Ansible

• Knowledge on VMWare vSphere (latest version)

• Knowledge on Microsoft Windows Server (latest version)

• Any background or experience in Cloud networking is desirable

• Scripting
