Responsibilities Req ID: 64596 Demonstrates the ability to scrub on all procedures performed at SFRMC Assesses and maintains updated skills on new equipment and procedures Recommend changes to the care plans to the RN Assists with patient positioning and transfer Assist with room turnover Assists in providing customer service based preference list and care plans Follows policies and procedures of the procedural services department Demonstrates principles of aseptic technique Demonstrates principles of sterilization and decontamination Assists in developing education plans Assists in orientation in the OR in the scrub role Demonstrates continuing self-education pertinent to the operating room environment Informs team members of needed equipment, supplies during the procedure Informs RN of problems, difficulties occurring during the procedure Documents all changes in physician preference list Informs charge nurse of physician request for special/new equipment Requests, accepts and provides constructive criticism Attends in services and classes related to unit Attends mandatory in services and competency testing Participates in staff meetings Maintains positive relationships with others Willingly and independently assist others with work Maintains confidentiality Attire is appropriate Performs technical functions per department/procedures Recognizes position knowledge and limitations Behaves maturely and professionally Supports patient care and departmental needs by being flexible in scheduling of hours and accepting assignments Respects individual contributions of colleagues and other health care team members Adheres to work agreement and established attendance standards Seeks resolution of conflict situations/families and health team members Reports patient vulnerability to RN Serves as a patent advocate Maintains a safe/clean environment Reports/returns defective equipment
